EAAP News

After the inspiring 76th EAAP Annual Meeting in Innsbruck, we are ready for another year full of exciting activities that continue to foster collaboration, innovation, and scientific exchange within the animal science community.

Our next EAAP Webinar, titled "Current and Future Challenges of Dairy and Beef Cattle", (Tuesday, October 21st 2025, 15:00 - 17:00 Central European Time), will bring together leading experts to discuss the pressing issues and opportunities shaping the future of cattle production. From sustainability to animal welfare, genetics, and farm management, the event will provide valuable insights and stimulate dialogue across disciplines. Participation is for free but registration is necessary. Registration is already open on the EAAP website.

We are pleased to announce that registrations and abstract submissions are now open for the 1stEAAP–ASAS Conference on "Livestock farming and the environment: emissions and solutions", which will take place in Azores Islands, Portugal on April 19-21, 2026. This joint event represents a remarkable opportunity to strengthen the bridge between European and American animal scientists, sharing innovative research and building collaborations across continents. You can register and submit your abstract here

Looking ahead, we are also preparing, with the support of the EAAP Mountain Livestock Farming System working group, for the EAAP Mountain Livestock Farming System Workshop 2026, which will take place from 15 to 17 June 2026 in Plantahof Landquart, Switzerland, as part of the Mountain Grassland and Livestock Joint Conference. This unique event will combine science, culture, and nature—offering an exceptional platform to exchange knowledge on mountain farming systems and experience directly the landscapes inspiring this research. A rich scientific programme, networking opportunities, and a special excursion into the Swiss Alps will make this workshop an unforgettable experience for all participants. Finally, EAAP is proud to announce the 2025 NOVUS Award winner, Rebecca El Hawat (Italy), recognised for her outstanding contributions to dairy research.
